Delete your ExpatTribe account

Last updated : 5 September 2026

This page explains how to delete your ExpatTribe account (published by NCOO-DEV, S.L.) and all associated data, or request the deletion of specific data only.

1. Delete your account from the app

This is the fastest method, and it is immediate:

  1. Open the ExpatTribe app and go to the Profile tab.
  2. At the very bottom, tap “Delete my account”.
  3. Confirm with “Delete permanently”.

Deletion is immediate, complete and irreversible. Your session is closed and no data can be recovered.

2. Without access to the app

If you no longer have the app or access to your device, write to hello@expattribe.app from your account's e-mail address with the subject “Account deletion”. We will delete the account and confirm completion within 30 days at most (in practice, within a few days).

3. What is deleted

Deleting the account erases all associated data in a single operation:

  • the login account (e-mail or Sign in with Apple / Google identifier);
  • the family profile: displayed name, composition, languages, countries of origin, interests, bio and photo;
  • the children's first names and dates of birth;
  • the family's location;
  • all messages exchanged, their translations, and the conversations;
  • likes, matches and favourites;
  • conversations with the assistant;
  • contributions to the local guide (articles, confirmations) and to community questions;
  • blocks and reports, sent or received.

4. What may remain temporarily

  • The database's encrypted technical backups, which rotate automatically: deleted data disappears from them within 30 days at most. They exist only for disaster recovery and are never used to restore a deleted account.
  • If you contacted us by e-mail, that correspondence is kept for as long as needed to handle your request.

Nothing else is retained: ExpatTribe does not sell data, shows no advertising and keeps no profile after deletion. Subscription payments are handled by the App Store or Google Play: their billing history belongs to your Apple or Google account, not to ExpatTribe.

5. Delete data without deleting the account

At any time, directly in the app, you can:

  • remove or replace the family photo;
  • edit or clear the bio, interests and languages;
  • remove a child from the profile;
  • delete a favourite place, a guide article or a question you published.

For any other specific request (for example erasing old messages), write to hello@expattribe.app: we handle requests in accordance with the GDPR, within 30 days at most. Your other rights (access, rectification, portability) are described in our privacy policy.
