Is the free trial really no-strings-attached?

Yes. The 7-day trial, offered on the annual plan, gives you access to all Premium features. If you cancel before the trial ends from your phone's settings, you won't be charged.

How does payment work?

Payment is handled directly by Apple's App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. ExpatTribe never sees or stores any payment details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You manage and cancel your subscription anytime from the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account. Premium access stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for.

What's the difference between monthly and annual?

The monthly plan is €4.99/month, no commitment. The annual plan is €29.99/year, about €2.50/month, the best value, and includes a 7-day free trial.

What happens if I switch back to free?

You keep your profile, your bio, your matches and access to the map, and you carry on messaging the families you've matched with. You simply go back to 5 likes a day, without the details of who liked you.

Are there ads in the app?

No, none at all: neither on free accounts nor with Premium. ExpatTribe is funded by the subscription, not by advertising. No advertising SDK is embedded in the app, and none of your data is used for tracking.
